By 1911, the Longines factory employed over 1,100 workers and shipped its products worldwide. Longines' technical research efforts were rewarded in various forms, winning over 10 Grand Prix awards by the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition, earning a reputation as the \"most awarded brand.\" In 1989, Francillon trademarked the name Longines along with the winged hourglass logo.
