Brand History
In 1832, Auguste Agassiz, brother of the renowned naturalist Louis Agassiz, delved into the world of watchmaking at a watch sales company in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, under the name "Agassiz & Co." He successfully expanded the distribution network of watches made through domestic industry to America and beyond. In the mid-1850s, Ernest Francillon, Agassiz's nephew, took over the business. Francillon consolidated the scattered manufacturing processes of watches into one location to improve watchmaking methods. In 1867, he established the "Longines Factory" on the right bank of the Suze River in Saint-Imier, where watch assembly and finishing could be mechanized in one place. Francillon later brought in a young engineer, Jacques David, to develop the necessary machinery to enhance the watchmaking process. Production continued to expand until the 1930s. By 1911, the "Longines Factory" employed over 1,100 workers and was shipping its products worldwide. Longines' technical research efforts were rewarded in various forms, winning over 10 Grand Prix awards by the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition, establishing the brand as the most awarded. In 1989, Francillon registered the name Longines and the winged hourglass logo as trademarks. Longines, registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is a brand that uses the same registered trademark and logo since its inception, showcasing the evolution of watchmaking technology at its factory. Gradually, Longines built special relationships with the sports world, offering its expertise in various fields, including the iconic sports of the 20th century. Since its founding in 1832, Longines has been based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, continuing to create watches with the themes of "tradition," "elegance," and "performance."

I liked the watch very much. The seller has no questions. We sent the order right away. Delivery to Ukraine took 16 days, traveled across Europe for a very long time. Of course, the clock was stuck at customs, in addition to the duty, I had to pay the broker for customs clearance services (it was this moment that was unpleasant, because the customs authority was in another city and had to fork out another $ 38 for broker services and $ 100 for customs clearance). In any case, it turned out cheaper than buying such a watch in my country, although I expected it to be cheaper.

First I just want to comment on the shipping speed. I ordered the watch on a Sunday in the USA and it was delivered the rolling Wednesday! 3 business days? That is what I am talking about. And now...

The Watch. Seiko SBDC101.. what more can you say? Classic 62mas style with the 6R movement, sapphire, DiaShield? Come one. This watch is a knock out! Absolutely in love with this watch. The machine finishing is top notch, it wears perfectly, and it's a real stunner! The sunburst dark grey bezel is beautiful out in the sun. Many of my customers have commented on the watch so far.

Right now this watch is hot along with the new Willard. Unfortunately they hard to come by at the moment. Ippo had it in stock at a price which I was better than anyone who had one in stock.

Definitely recommend buying any watch from Ippo. The fact that I received this item from Japan to the USA faster than other items I'm still waiting from from the USA says it all.
